Christo van den Berg studied at the University of the Free Sate, the AFM Theological College, and later earned his doctorate in theology from the University of South Africa. He has been in full-time pastoral ministry for more than 40 years in the AFM of SA Church, in several assemblies including: Newcastle, Bethal, Westonaria, Vryheid, Richards Bay and the Lofdal assembly in Ladysmith. Recently retired from pastoral ministry, he is still coordinating the Ministry Integrated Learning program for the AFM Education and Training Department, a required internship for students who have obtained their theological qualification and aspire to be ordained within the AFM Church – and is thus now available for ministry throughout South Africa and Namibia. He is known for his teaching ability and has authored several books. Married to Belinda, they have three children, Christo, Tiaan and Jeanne, married to Reinhardt, and two granddaughters, Rozet and Reanie,
